The Galaxy 9.75" Requinto Conga produces great conga popping sounds. This makes it perfect for soloing and lead playing. The Requinto produces the most crisp slaps on any of the LP congas. Plus, the drum has a beautiful tone, which comes across clearly in the open & touch tones. The fiberglass Galaxy congas all have a brighter timbre than the wood Galaxies. But both the wood & fiberglass Requintos are perfect for soloing, playing fast or with a melodic touch.

The Palladium 14" Super Tumba is booming bass conga drum. It's the biggest & heaviest LP conga. Even though it's bass heavy it has a clear and pretty range of tones. It weighs about 48 lbs. (It's shipping weight, which includes the box & accessory pouch, is about 55 lbs.)

Steel Bands: Four Steel bands rap around the Pallaidum series congas. No steel bans rap around the Galaxy wood congas. One steel band raps around the Galaxy fiberglass congas.

Sizes: One of the main differences to the Palladium and Galaxy Series are the sizes.

Each model offers four sizes. Three sizes are the same: 11", 11.75" & 12.5". The fourth sizes are different. The Palladium's fourth drum is a 14" Super Tumba! The Galaxy's fourth drum is a 9.75" requinto!
