1 Corinthians 13:1
If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

This is the only time the word gong (chalkos*) is used in the New Testament.  After verse 1 in 1 Cor 13 Paul, the writer, goes on to give a description of Love that is as complete and eternal as any found in all the history of literature and language.
